China’s ‘Jack the Ripper’ snared by police after decades of mystery

After over thirty years of searching for the China's most dangerous rapist and murderer; Gao Ghengyong is said to be arrested by the police at the age of 52. 

China Daily revealed that Ghengyyoung was arrested on Friday in a grocery shop he ran with his wife in Baiyin, in a city in China's Northwest Gansu province. This may sound 

shocking, but Gao Ghengyong has lived a stable life in the same province where nine of his killings took place. The question is; how is that possible considering the efforts made by the government to set out a massive search and placed a massive reward of 200,000 yuan; (£23,000) in December 2004. 

According to the ministry of public security of China, Gao confessed to the 11 murders; 1 of which was an 11 years old girl. All of these deaths occurring between 1988 and 2002. It was allegedly said to be the Gao would target women dressed in red and follow them home where he would rape and cut of their throat. 

This showed a pattern that may need to be investigated. Gao's manner of killing according to the newspapers and online sources were mostly very cruel and brutal. How then could that kind of a person live a healthy life and have a relationship for these years?
