Bathers flee Spanish beach after 'shark' spotted

A horrific sight at a tourist beach in Costa del Sol beach following bathers saying they had spotted a shark. The holidaymakers raced to the shoreline, most seemed so scared as though seen a true life "Jaws".  A British man who was holidaying with his wife said; "it was like something out of the Jaws film".

Lifeguards on jet skis were quick to help children out of the beach while the other beach users ran for their lives. The Fuengirola beach was closed for five hours during which the search went on. After a long thorough search, the beach later reopened about 5 pm without any outcome. There was no sign of a shark.

However, an eye witness said "it was very scary at first", but after the search and nothing was found, some people thought it was a false alarm. It was believed that three people had raised the alarm but unsure if they are a group of friends or not.
