Poverty and being poor; the foundation of poor well-being: Teenage Mother Sells 18-Month-Old Baby For N300,000

An 18 yeas old girl, Ezinne Okike has being put in police custody in Enugu State Nigeria with er best friend and collaborator, for allegedly selling her 18 months old daughter for N300,000.00. As stated by New Telegraph Online, Ezinne had taken the baby to Okigwe where she sold and got paid for the sale.

The question remains, what could lead to this level of desperation in a young person? Where are her family to support?
