According to reports making the rounds online on Thursday, September 5, Adeleye Ayomide, 23, confessed to killing Christianah, a graduate of Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta in Ogun State of Nigeria. Ayomide has been arrested and handed over to the police for further investigation. The hashtag #JusticeForChristiannah is trending across all social media channels.
Interestingly, what began as a young lady seeking shelter in a friend’s shop turned into a homicide and then a staged abduction with a ransom demand.
Christianah had left her home in Itaoluwo, Ikorodu, en route to the University of Lagos (UNILAG) where she was undergoing industrial training.
While traveling, she encountered heavy rain and sought shelter at Adeleye’s family shop, which was located near his home.
According to reports, Adeleye, who had known Christianah through their mutual school and church affiliations, invited her into his house when the rain intensified.
While inside, Adeleye allegedly attempted to assault her, but when she resisted, he killed her.
Fresh facts by an online publication disclosed that Ayomide has murdered three ladies in his life and has been described as a serial killer. In 2018, Ayomide reportedly killed his girlfriend. In 2020, Ayomide reportedly killed his sister. And in 2024, Ayomide reportedly killed Christianah.
